VoIP Dynamic LLC was established to license the technologies covered by the company’s patent portfolio: Facilitating VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) communication by blocking DTMF tones in an audio stream, and using multiple platforms in a single computer telephony system. VoIP Dynamics will endeavor to expand the use of these technologies, identify applications and prospective licensees for the patents and, ultimately, license and otherwise commercialize the patent portfolio.
U.S. Patent No. 6,226,303 covers a method of facilitating telephony communication over a packet-switched network by blocking DTMF tones in an audio stream and then sending the audio stream over an undependable channel in the packet-switched network.
U.S. Patent No. 6,396,851, a continuation of the ’303 patent, describes a method and apparatus for detecting and suppressing a portion of a signaling tone in an audio stream and sending the audio stream over an undependable channel in a packet-switched network in response to the detected signaling tone.
U.S. Patent No. 6,920,143, also a continuation of the ‘303 patent, covers a computer telephony system that includes a multi-platform architecture with a layer of abstraction between the software and hardware layers that allows service modules on different software platforms to access telephony services using a common, platform-independent protocol.
VoIP Dynamics LLC was established by General Patent Corporation, a leading patent monetization firm, to further develop and expand the uses and applications for the technology covered by these patents. VoIP Dynamic is managed by General Patent Corporation which is the exclusive licensing agent for the patent portfolio.
